Entry 9
Entry 9
After finishing my environment, I searched up ways to record my video for the environment and found out about the cinamatic camera feature on Unreal, so I experimented with it and watched a guide on how to use it. I had some troubles here and there but managed to make a cinematic video and recorded it. The video was around 32 seconds and I tried to show everything that was important for my environment. After everything was done, I tried compressing the file into a zip file and got around 26gb of size. So I went back to see if I could reduce the size by deleting unneeded assets. I managed to reduce it down to 14gb after deleting most unnecessary files.

Final summary:
This assignment was pretty difficult to finish and start but I learnt a lot about Unreal and texturing with Mixer. There were many things I could have done better but I didn't manage my time wisely enough to do a better environment. I also should have done a more better environment I'm more familiar with. A change I would also do is not to do a roundabout next time and do another scenery of an abandoned and apocalyptic world. Multiple problems had occured and majority of them were solved by searching them up or struggling to find an answer and using trial and error. Overall, this assignment had lots of enjoyable moment but there were some frustrating problems that took a while to overcome and I am happy with the final environment.
